Started in January 1985 by Dr. Ivan R. Misner, Founder & CEO of Business Network International, BNI provides a positive, supportive, and structured environment for men and women to further their business through word of mouth marketing.

Networking requires commitment. The most successful chapters of BNI are comprised of participants who are sincerely committed to helping one another through networking. They are a team. As a participant in BNI, you are responsible for complying with the policies and guidelines of the organisation.

BNI's Philosophy

Success in BNI means you need to be a positive and supportive member of an organisation, based upon mutual support. This requires commitment to your fellow members as well as to the philosophy of 'Givers Gain': by giving business to others, you will get business in return.

BNI's Code of Ethics

1. I will provide the quality of services at the prices that I have quoted.
2. I will be truthful with the members and their referrals.
3. I will build goodwill and trust among members and their referrals.
4. I will take responsibility for following up on the referrals I receive.
5. I will live up to the ethical standards of my profession.*
6. I will display a positive and supportive attitude with BNI members.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:

• Only one person from each profession is permitted to join a chapter of BNI.
• All participants should represent their primary occupation, not a part-time business.
• Attendance is critical. If you cannot attend a meeting, you may send a substitute. This will not count as an absence.
• Participants are required to bring bona-fide referrals and/or visitors to their chapter of BNI.

Cost:

Fees are paid semi-annually, annually, or bi-annually and are payable at the first meeting of each month. The once-off Registration Fee is €130.00, and the Annual Subscription is €600.00 + VAT. If you apply to participate in BNI, your application will be reviewed by the chapter's membership committee, and you will be notified of the status before the next meeting.
